The focus of A New Direction for Women & Men is to assist all residents with the necessary attitudes and behavior changes needed to remain substance free. As such, these homes place strong emphasis on acceptance of responsibility and growth in personal discipline. Guidelines have been established to promote a safe and substance free living environment as we encorporate the 12 steps.

St. John's Home

The Discovery Program at St. John's Home was designed to help Grand Rapids area families struggling with adolescent drug and alcohol use. The effort combines St. John’s long experience in creating new lives for troubled kids with consultation from the very best national experts on adolescent drug and alcohol use. The program combines an intensive eight-week day recovery program with a unique, sober “recovery school” through a partnership with Forest Hills Northern High School.
