"New Vision Recovery is a South Carolina 501(c)(3) public benefit corporation. It is a tax-exempt, not-for-profit organization which provides assistance in recovery from alcohol and drug addiction. Our first Sober Living Home with nine beds for women opened in Anderson, South Carolina, on September 15, 2008. The second, which can accommodate eight men, opened its doors on October 8, 2009. Currently New Vision Recovery operates seven Sober Living Homes. Included are three newcomers' homes, two for men and one for women, and two three-quarter homes for men and two for women making the transition back to full participation in the community. During its three years of operation, New Vision Recovery provided Sober Living housing to 209 people. Of this group, 47 percent have maintained their sobriety, well above the 25 percent average of many recovery programs. The 10-person Board of Directors of New Vision Recovery, Inc. is drawn from community and business leaders in the Anderson area.
